Whose Line is it, anyway?

So, I woke up this morning with pink eye. BLECH! I stayed at home today because I don’t want to make other people have the pink eye… and what to do but some nails! I also washed my hands like 400 times.

I seriously love how these came out! My sister got me some new Essie polishes for my Chanukkah present, and they are so pretty (thank you! And I can’t wait to try out the others – there is a seriously awesome red glitter that has my name on it)! This manicure uses Where’s My Chauffeur? as the base color. I also used Zoya Ziv and an It’s So Easy Striper for the lines. I really like how Ziv worked out for this – it’s a great one coat for accents, very pigmented.IMG_0263I also tried out new base and top coats here. I tried OPI Nail Envy, which seems really nice (and I’ve heard good things) and Nubar Diamont for the top. I was looking for a replacement for Seche. Here’s the thing – I love Seche most of the time. BUT then it gets goopy and it also shrinks on my nail and then yuck. Diamont seems great so far! It dried really quickly and it’s not as thick as Seche Vite. It’s not as shiny, but I still liked it.IMG_0257This picture is kind of funny – it’s hard to tell if the Essie is blue or green (ahhhhh! Monty Python reference, anybody?). My pointer looks really green and my pinky looks really blue!IMG_0259I am really pleased with this manicure! I think my freehand and line skills have improved so much since I started blogging. I am also convinced at the awesomeness of It’s So Easy stripers – they are so nice and pigmented, and the brushes are sleek and wonderful! I think I should get some more colors (definitely black and white. I have weird on-sale colors right now).IMG_0260What do you think? Do you like this look, or is there too much going on?
