Lauren B Beauty Spring Floral – Nail Art and Review

I know that weather talk is small talk – but I just wanted to let you all know that my tulips are peaking out from the ground. I think that means it’s spring! Which means I can now, worry-free, paint as many floral nail art designs as I want, right? I mean, it’s not like I was really holding back all that much. I just love flowers and floral doodles! It’s actually part of what I loved about Lauren B Beauty packaging! I took my inspiration for this spring time floral nail art right from the Lauren B Beauty bottle, which has these cute gold floral boughs in the logo.

I was very excited about trying out these polishes by Lauren B Beauty. They have a range of pretty colors, plus everything is vegan, cruelty-free, and 5-free! What! That’s like, the holy trinity for nail polish.

I do live in Denver, so it’s ok that these went a little Broncos, right?

The Polish

Lauren B Beauty swatch Aire of Bel Air | The Dalai Lama's Nails

Aire of Bel Air is a very pretty cobalt blue shade that’s not quite a creme, not quite a jelly. It’s really shiny, and has such pretty depth. The jelly-ness makes it kind of squishy, too! Application was pretty good, though it seemed just a bit on the goopy side. I used 3 coats in this swatch, over a base coat. I didn’t top coat, because I wanted to show you how shiny it is on its own! It was opaque enough to use for detailed nail art. I’m not totally sure what an Aire is (like, is it the heir of Bel Air? What’s an Aire?)Lauren B Beauty The OC swatch | The Dalai Lama's Nails

The “OC” is a bright orange shade, also quite crelly like! The texture and finish of this polish was very similar to Aire of Bel Air. Shown here is 3 coats over a base coat, also without top coat. This shade was not quite opaque enough for detailed nail art, but I made it work!

All in All…

I liked these shades! Maybe not the best for use in detailed nail art, but very pretty base colors. The application was pretty good – not the best, but not bad. The packaging is really cute. I do find the price tag a bit steep.

Allergies aside, I’m so relieved it’s spring. The trees are blooming and I have hyacinth and daffodils, and soon there will be tulips. 🙂
