I am always looking for a way to add more bling to my life. I’m not kidding, either – glam, sparkly anything and everything just makes me twinkle inside. I love all sorts of sparkly things, especially during the holiday season! The only downside to glitter is that it tends to get everywhere, so I often experiment with ways to apply glitter without going overboard (well placed, thought out glitter is one thing. But glitter in your eyebrows is something else entirely). Dum dah dah dah! Q-Tips to the rescue! I used Q-Tips Precision Tips to create this glam holiday nail art look, and it was easy as 1-2-3. Want to know how? Read on to find out!
First thing’s first. Apply two coats of your favorite black polish.
Next, dab some of your favorite glitter polish onto your work surface. Swirl your Q-Tip in the glitter polish, being sure to pick up lots of glitter. Dab the glitter polish onto your nail, concentrating the most glitter near your cuticle. Q-Tips Precision Tips are the perfect tool for this nail art, since the ends are tapered you have much more control over where you place your glitter. I hate wasting an entire make up sponge for this kind of nail art, so using a Q-Tip is really perfect (especially on the go – you could do this in a bathroom or hotel, no problem).
After your gradient is looking perfectly sparkly, apply your favorite top coat. I use Q-Tips to to clean up any stray glitter and neaten up, in case I get any polish or top coat on my fingers. They are a good alternative to clean up brushes (since those usually end up falling apart, anyways).
Ta-da! You now have a perfectly glam nail art look, absolutely holiday and absolutely fabulous. I made a short mini how-to video, showing you just how I created this fun, glamorous nail art look using Q-Tips Precision Tips.
I also have another fun mini-video to post on Instagram later today! Be sure to check me out – and Q-Tips, while you’re at it! Q-Tips has some really fun and great beauty content on their Instagram, including nails and makeup!
