One highlight of my trip to Vegas for Cosmoprof was the opportunity to meet Pam of Girly Bits at two Indie polish events. I’ve been a long time admirer of Girly Bits – I mean, what’s not to love? The polishes are absolutely stunning. Plus, Pam is really really great – she’s thoughtful about her company, social media savvy, and fun (and funny!). Today I’m showing you 3 Girly Bits shades: What Happens in Vegas… Ends up on Instagram, Get Weaponized, and Mint-al Precision. What Happens in Vegas is limited edition, though, so be sure to check it out soon!
I couldn’t help myself – the holo, the sparkles, oh my! So I created a gradient using What Happens in Vegas and Get Weaponized. I protected my skin with Liquid Palisade and got to work sponging on the two shades. I love the purple where the two meet! I wouldn’t attempt a gradient without some way to protect my skin, because GLITTER. You know what I mean!
What Happens in Vegas… Ends up on Instagram is a super bright scattered holographic glitter polish. It’s really spectacular – it’s bright pink, with little flashes of purple. Shown here is two coats plus top coat. This polish is only available for another week, until August 31! Girly Bits has also re-released last year’s Vegas polish (What Happens in Vegas… Ends up on Facebook). Be sure to go check it out while there’s still time!
Next is my favorite of the bunch, a collaboration done with Nail Polish Wars called Get Weaponized. I am drooling over this polish, it is just so amazing! Get Weaponized is a teal holo with all sorts of interesting flecks of other colors – I love the purple shining through. Shown here is 3 coats, plus top coat. No problems with formula, though it is a tiny thick.
Mint-al Precision is a blogger collaboration shade with Polished to Precision. It’s a print mint shade with subtle shimmery flecks. Shown here is three coats, plus top coat. The first two coats were kind of streaky, but it all evened out with the third coat!
Bonus nail art picture! I liked these shades so much, I decided to do some swirls and dots… it may have been a little over the top in real life (blinded by the holo!). I used a nail art brush to draw on my swirls, and a dotting tool to create the dots.
Girly Bits polishes are available on the Girly Bits website for $12 each. Remember, What Happens in Vegas is a limited edition – so be sure to check it out while there’s still time!
