I have long been fascinated by snowflakes. They’re just frozen ice crystals, but they’re so complex and unique (apparently it IS possible that two snowflakes could be alike, though very very unlikely!). I love the complicated symmetry. I started looking through galleries of real snowflakes – aren’t they beautiful? For my snowflake nail art, I decided to try to create different flakes based on real photos.
I began by creating a gradient. And hey, I decided to film it, so here ya go!
I used Sally Hansen White on White, OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook, and China Glaze One Track Mind for my gradient. Then I applied a coat of OPI Snow Globetrotter. I used a small detail brush to create the snowflakes – and hey, look, another mini-tutorial! Here’s how I did the snowflake on my index finger. After everything was done, I applied a coat of Seche Vite and a coat of OPI Matte Top Coat.
I hope you’ll check out the awesome nail art of the other DD ladies!
