Welcome to day 2 of the Digital Dozen! It’s food week, and it’s got me munching on some snacks – that I grew myself! When I first decided to grow veggies in my garden, I had almost no idea how to go about planting things – or how to keep them alive! I did a lot of reading online, and one of my Digital Dozen buddies suggested a method of planting called square foot planting. Although I was a little sloppy about it, I tried to organize my garden bed into a grid. I planted different veggies in each grid. I lost patience a little bit when it came to planting carrots. Carrot seeds are just so teeny tiny. So I kind of just threw a packet of seeds in the ground – and now I have carrots growing! I’ve seen a lot of really cute carrots on Etsy – for invitations and baby art and all sorts of things. I love these cute carrots!
I began with two coats of Llarowe Show Off. Holy cow, I can’t believe I haven’t used this polish before – it’s been sitting in my untried pile for a year and I never used it! But holy cow, this is a show stopper. It’s freaking gorgeous!!! For the carrots, I used Essie Fear or Desire. The leaves are Essie Ruffles & Feathers. I used black acrylic paint to outline everything, and then I top coated with Seche Vite.
Crunch crunch crunch!
