I can’t believe it’s time for another Digital Dozen week! I haven’t been terribly active since the last challenge week (bad blogger! bad, bad, bad!), and I’m hoping this challenge will help get my butt in gear. I have a lot of exciting polishes to show you, coming up soon. Plus, the theme for this week is childhood, which just sounds fun! I get all nostalgic thinking about my childhood, so expect lots of silly memories this week. Today, I’ve used polishes from the new China Glaze Electric Nights collection — which are so wonderfully neon and bright! They really just make me think of the 80s, all the way, when I was a little kid and wore obnoxiously bright colors with geometric prints. I’ll have a full review of the China Glaze Electric Nights collection coming up soon, with swatches and everything! But for now, enjoy my Digital Dozen geometric 1980s nail art.
I think I never really grew out of the 80s and early 90s — I was only a little kid at the time, but those neons and bright prints just never left me! I love anything neon. It’s bright and fun and a little silly and just totally rad. See what I did there?
To get this look, I started with a base of white, which really helps the neons pop pop pop! On my ring finger and little finger, I applied one coat of China Glaze Point Me to the Party, which is a super fun glitter mix in a clear base. On my other fingers, I used all the China Glaze Electric Nights shades (except the glitters) to create a fun pattern. I topped it with Seche Vite for super shine.
So that’s day 1 of the Digital Dozen week! Thanks for stopping by!
Check out the other amazing DD ladies, too!
