Today is day 3 of my Digit-al Dozen posts for April! I’ve been really interested in how to create the look of depth and texture without using textured polish – in fact, I often think about the texture of a nail art look, even if I’m using solely traditional polish. I’ve also been loving charms lately, and I thought that the difference between the 3D textured gems and charms and the flat, shiny polish would be quite contrasting! I think charms are so fun, and a great way to spice up a mani.
To create this look, I polished all of my nails with 2 coats of Essie Mesmerize. Mesmerize is such a great polish – it is nearly a one coater, but I went with two just to cover up a few spots here and there. It’s so pretty! I applied one coat of Essie Kisses & Bises on my thumb and ring finger, and then a nice thick coat of Seche Vite on each finger. I applied a ton of charms and rhinestones from Hex, Daily Charme, and Sally’s while the topcoat was still wet. Voila!
