I almost didn’t make this day of the challenge – pheeeeeew! I can sigh a big sigh of relief! Remember when I told you that my husband and I bought a house? Well, we moved into our new home yesterday – and I love it! The only downside is that I am not at all unpacked… but that doesn’t stop the 31 Day Challenge from marching forward. Since I made this day, I am really hoping I’ll have everything all set for the remaining TWO days that are left. I’m posting from Panera today, but hopefully I’ve have the internet in time for tomorrow’s post! Anyways. Today’s prompt is to be inspired by the supernatural. I’m not super into that kind of stuff… so I went with my heart and took inspiration from Harry Potter – where else? This manicure is inspired by HP’s expecto patronum – you can see his glowing want and the head of the stag starting to form. It’s on the whimsical side of things, that’s for sure! In case you don’t remember (ahem…), expecto patronum , or the Patronus Charm, is a defensive charm that uses energy to form a partially physical guardian.
The base of this look is two coats of Zoya Storm. Then I thinned out Zoya Purity with acetone and used the thinned out white to create the shapes of Harry’s wand and of the Patronus. I filled in the shapes using polishes from Color Club’s Take Wing collection. I used Daisy Does It, Fly With Me, Metamorphosis, and Sky High. I top coated with Seche Vite.
Sorry for the short post today! Hopefully I’ll get my nail station up and working tomorrow.
We are nearing the end of the challenge – I am so proud of myself for making it this far – but still a little nervous about the remaining two days. Please wish me luck!! I did some slime for day 29 last year.
